Converters
Convert a signed angle in decimal radians or a simple π expression to degrees.
π radians is 180°, not 360°. Calculations run locally in your browser.
One complete turn is 2π radians or 360 degrees, so π radians is 180 degrees. The conversion is degrees = radians × 180/π. When the input is a π expression, the factor cancels directly: π/2 gives 90°, 3π/2 gives 270°, and -π/4 gives -45°. Decimal radian values produce a rounded degree display.
Radians are defined from arc length divided by radius, so they are dimensionless angles. The conversion changes the angle unit, not the physical rotation. If you enter 2π, the result is 360°; 4π is 720°, representing two turns. Some applications normalize angles to 0°–360°, but this tool deliberately preserves multi-turn values rather than silently wrapping them.
The parser accepts one simple π coefficient with an optional divisor or an ordinary decimal. It does not evaluate arbitrary mathematical expressions or trigonometric functions. For example “π/2+π/4” must be simplified to “3π/4” first. Use the correct unit when entering angles into geometry, physics or CAD formulas: confusing 90 radians with 90 degrees changes a result substantially.
Example: π/2 rad × 180/π = 90°.
Use the sample inputs above to reproduce this result. The numeric display is rounded for reading; measurements and real-world conditions can carry more uncertainty than the arithmetic.
