How this calculator works
The calculator multiplies driveway length by width for surface area, then multiplies by the number of coats. Sealer gallons are total coat area divided by coverage per gallon, with waste added. Five-gallon pails are rounded up from the gallon estimate.
Example: a 50 ft by 12 ft driveway is 600 square feet. With two coats, 80 square feet per gallon, and 10% waste, the estimate is 16.5 gallons, or 4 five-gallon pails.
