Choose a duration, then click or press Space on the test button. See your click count, final CPS, and locally saved recent attempts.
Ready. The first click starts the clock.
Results are for practice and comparison, not a measure of health or ability. Keyboard users can focus the test button and press Space or Enter.
CPS means clicks per second. The final score equals accepted clicks divided by the selected test duration in seconds. For example, 25 clicks in a five-second test produce 5.00 CPS. The first click both starts the timer and counts toward the total; any click at or after the deadline is excluded.
Short and long tests answer different questions. A one-second score can be strongly affected by reaction time and the exact start moment. A 10- or 30-second session is better for comparing sustained clicking, while a 60-second test adds fatigue. Keep the same duration and input method when comparing two attempts.
The test uses the browser's monotonic clock rather than assuming every visual timer update runs exactly on schedule. Background tabs, overloaded devices, touchscreen latency, keyboard repeat settings, or automated input can affect observed results. Recent completed attempts are stored only in this browser and can be cleared with the history button or by clearing site data.
Click speed is a casual performance metric, not a medical or accessibility assessment. Stop if repeated clicking causes discomfort. There is no universal 'good' CPS because results depend on duration, device, method, and familiarity with the test.
| Control | What it does | Important detail |
|---|---|---|
| Test length | Sets the scoring window | Changing it starts a fresh test; it is locked while a test runs. |
| Click area | Starts and counts valid activations | Clicks at or beyond the deadline are ignored. |
| CPS result | Accepted clicks divided by selected seconds | Final score is rounded to two decimal places. |
| Recent results | Lists up to ten completed attempts | Stored only in this browser; Clear history removes them. |
Run the same duration with a mouse, trackpad, keyboard, or touchscreen and compare results.
Repeat five- or ten-second trials and look at the range rather than a single best score.
Use the clicks and selected seconds to see how a per-second average is computed.
Browser scheduling, hardware, and fatigue affect the result. It is not a diagnosis or a standardized skill assessment.
CPS is clicks per second: the number of accepted clicks divided by the selected test duration.
Yes. The first activation starts the clock and is included in the click count.
No. Activations at or after the deadline are excluded, even if the visible timer has not refreshed yet.
Up to ten completed attempts are stored in this browser's local storage. They do not sync between devices.
Yes. Focus the test button and activate it with Space or Enter. Keyboard repeat behavior varies by device.
